bluestation::instructions for OSX installation

Step One: Learn your computer's bluetooth address

You can learn your computer's bluetooth address by going to the
"About this Mac" item in the Apple menu, then clicking on "More Info..."

In the "Contents" pane, click on the "Bluetooth" item. If you can't see a
that item, either your computer doesn't have Bluetooth installed (sorry) or it's turned off.
To turn on Bluetooth, enable it from the System Properties.

Once you can see the contents of the "Bluetooth" item, you'll see an item labled "Address".
This is a 12-digit number in the form "XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX".

Copy this number down.

Step Two: Get the Avetana Java for Bluetooth library & install it into your system

Avetana GMBH offers a free two-week licence of their (quite nice) commercial
Java for Bluetooth library. You need to get this library from them and install it on your
Macintosh.

Go here, fill out the form, supplying the bluetooth address you learned from step one.
Avetana GMBH will send you an email with a URL you'll use to download the library.
Save the library - avetanaBluetooth.jar - into the folder /Library/Java/Extensions

Step Three: Grab the Java Web Start for bluestation

Link to the Java Web Start for bluestation
Save it somewhere you can get to it later. The file name is "bluestation-osx.jnlp"

With us so far? Good.

Step Four: Launch bluestation

Double click on bluestation-osx.jnlp

At this point bluestation should launch through Java Web Start.
You're up and running!

We're incredibly sorry this is so complicated - rest assured we're working to make it easier!
